Diversity in the Business World

You are in a leadership position and concerned that your “LGBTIQ – status” might stop or endanger your career progression inside the organization. You want your organization to accept gender diversity but have encountered obstacles that hinder your ability to progress your career. You remain painfully in the closet, hiding your “LGBTIQ – status”, because you fear potential mocking or discrimination? Your company supports internal LGBTIQ-groups and would value professional coaching to ensure a diverse company culture?

“LGBTIQ” (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex, Queer) has become more and more a topic in the business world. Some organizations have established internal processes to enhance and foster diversity. However, all too often the onus remains on individual LGBTIQ members to assert themselves in a corporate environment. These employees face personal issues that cannot be covered by generic, overarching diversity programs.

In particular, the career development journey of a LGBTIQ person can be much more troublesome and can place additional stress and discomfort on these individuals. As a coach, I can help these individuals to better cope with “being different” while they pursue their career. As their trusted and confidential sparring partner I accompany them through the steps required to become the leader they aspire to be.
